Outreach to Zambia July 2009 Holidays The outreach to Zambia was a great success. During the July school holiday a group of 35 youth and their leaders from Campbell River in Canada, Agape Christian Church and Eagle’s Nest Christian School reached out to the F.C.E mission base in Masaiti, Zambia. The energetic team used dramas, puppet shows, songs and games to encourage and share the love of Jesus to the missionaries and the local villagers in Zambia. After travelling 4000km through Botswana to Zambia and back, the group extended their passion for the under privileged children in Polokwane at Kwelo Bohloko Drop –in-zone, Place of Safety and Beulah Shelter. The youth faced many challenges and had an experience of a lifetime. They had many opportunities to develop their leadership skills from a Christ centered perspective. They also had an opportunity to visit the majestic Victoria Falls and surroundings and could experience the beauty that was created by the Creator. Thank you to all the sponsors that made this trip possible for our Students! |

National Teacher Convention in Bloemfontein (hosted by FCE) October 2009 What a wonderful time of fellowship we had. It was a time to recap on our calling as educators, to know that education is an important tool to reach out to the learners, not only using knowledge but in our daily lifestyle at school. To show them the way through Jesus Christ. From Eagle’s Nest we were 8 educators and are looking forward to the 2010 convention. We thank the Lord for the obedience of the FCE team, Neels, Piet and Elma, their preparations—work of excellence! |
